Self-Care
The top priority to healthy living.
Marjorie Serkin Schulte
Not just now, in this challenging time of stress and vulnerability, but always we need to continue to love and nurture ourselves!
Monitoring our internal dialogue is a crucial behavior to cultivate. Most of us say a lot of negative, unkind, critical and judgmental things inside our heads, externally and frequently.
“Garbage in, garbage out”
The love, caring and nurturing with which we talk to and parent ourselves greatly affects our thoughts and feelings.
Positive self-talk is a lifelong habit to cultivate:
I am a worthwhile person
I am loving and smart
I can do it
This too will pass; nothing lasts forever
What can I do right now to help myself feel better? Figure out some options and take action!
I am deserving of health, happiness and abundance.
Daily Mantra: Repetitive statements of positive regard, unconditional self acceptance and love.
Repetition is the key to creating change. This means practicing the new validating and supportive affirmations over and over again and repetitive………You will notice over time the old negativity will fade and be replaced with your new healthy, hopeful and loving affirmations.
Take Action
There is no substitute for doing. Behavior must accompany thinking in order for change to occur.
Instead of I came, I saw, I concurred….I think well, I do effective behaviors, I thrive
